Structure
We are a member of the aerospace cluster of Aragon, which gives us a strategic position within the aviation industry, allowing us to develop synergies with other partners and address large-scale joint projects. Our active participation in cluster board has led us to its presidency.
AiTiip Technology Center originated as an association, with ICM as its founding member. Due to its great service to the mould sector, it was granted the status of foundation and technology center in 2003, with ICM as patron. This technology center enhances our capacity for R + D + I, and gives us access to highly qualified resources in design and prototyping areas, calculus and new technologies.
In 2004 ICM signed a cooperation agreement with a Chinese mould maker, and since then we have been producing our designs with Chinese personnel trained in our company in Zaragoza, which gives us the ability to manufacture moulds at Asian costs, while maintaining design, engineering, deadline fulfilment and quality standards of the EU.
As a result of our partnership with this company specialized in composite material parts, we have the resources and know-how needed to design, manufacture and tune up all kinds of moulds and tools used in this sector.
Since the beginning of TIIP, ICM has worked with this group of researchers, doctors, teachers and professionals in the R & D & I field, dedicated to providing training and services for the plastics industry. From this dedicated unit associated with the CSIC, we have access to mechanical, structural and rheological studies support, as well as for specific internal training.
We have participated in the XV European Master of polymers and we continue offering advice to both students and faculty.
Partner in Pro4Plast, a cooperative project of 28 European Organizations, dedicated to achieve a 50% time and 30% cost reduction in the process of new plastic products development
Our commitment to social and educational issues, has lead us to forge close relations with many educational institutions and public entities.

Quality
The changing needs of the new global market have redefined the factors that determine an organization's competitiveness, rendering standard quality management systems obsolete. Therefore, new methods and strategies need to be developed in order to guarantee constant improvement in quality management and results, as well as in products and services.
At ICM, we have built upon our experience and directed our efforts at developing new management, strategies and tools that allow us to stand ahead in a competitive market. Management efficiency, innovation, knowledge management, sustainable growth and constant optimization of procedures have allowed us to do so.
Quality and efficiency in management have become strategic factors in our organization's competitiveness, based not only in quality assurance, but also the constant improvement and optimization of our process, products and services.
A quality policy custom designed to meet our objectives and the certification of our Quality Management System in 1999 has been the starting point of an on-going process oriented towards the development of new technologies and processes that guarantee our client's satisfaction and allows us to be highly competitive within our field.
A process-oriented focus contributes to effectively enhance efficiency levels within our established objectives, allowing for constant growth as well as intense management interaction of all organizational levels.
This constant growth is also achieved due to the deployment of performance and perception indicators, which allows us to closely monitor each process discretely, so that upon the analysis of the collected data, strategic actions can be applied to improve effectiveness and satisfy internal and external clients needs.
The complexity and mission critical aspects of each phase and activity associated to the process of mould manufacturing, along with the need to meet specified timelines, demand that all activities inherent to the productive process be clearly established beforehand, as well as the allotment of the resources necessary to do so. If we add to this already complex scenario, the needs to -with limited resources- simultaneously work on different projects; the need for careful production planning becomes evident .
Building upon our vast experience in mould fabrication and through the analysis of different models of project management, we have been able to develop our own planning and control system, tailor made to our specific characteristics, in terms both of productive power and organizational structure, with an effective combination of internal growth and commercial management tools.
System Benefits:
In order to meet the highly competitive nature of the different areas in within field of work, we have devoted resources to constantly raise the quality of our products and services, giving them a higher added value, both in technology and innovation, which can be clearly perceived by our clients.
The recent deployment of a new Innovation Management System has allowed us to set new work standards for the launching, management, and control of all innovative actions, therefore improving creativity, management of new knowledge, collaboration with external sources and the technological and management optimization of our processes.
Our Metrology Department performs all dimensional controls needed in order to guarantee compliance with specified requirements, satisfying the needs of the different internal processes, as well as providing our customers with the best possible service.
It is equipped with the most advanced technology, which allows us to ensure and guarantee today's dimensional control demands by means of specific procedures, all of them designed and controlled by our Quality Control Management System.
Quality of our procedures is ensued by the strict observation of established procedures, inspection processes and internal audits, as well as a fast and efficient document registry system.
Independence, integrity and unbiased reports are guaranteed by means of the Laboratory's organizational structure, as well as its operation.
